Confidentiality framework,
Cookie Policy and a Recipe

During our collaboration, we’ll exchange a lot of information. Some might be private and some public, but there will likely be a lot of confidential information. This is why I must explain the confidentiality framework and how I handle your personal and business data. Since this exchange of information started when you came to my website, I must also share how cookies on my website work. Read on, and finish off with a fail-safe dessert.

Confidentiality framework

Whether business or personal, information that would reasonably be considered private or proprietary to you or me and that is not generally known will be treated as confidential. Especially if revealing or releasing such information could cause harm to any of the parties involved.
Additionally, given my work’s specific nature, some businesses and individuals choose to keep our collaboration private and far away from the public eye. Not disclosing my client’s identity and providing bespoke white-label services can leverage our work and your success.

Therefore, I’m practicing a total confidentiality framework, where all written and oral information and material(s) disclosed or exchanged are treated as confidential. Upon request, we can sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to add a bureaucratic seal.

This means I don’t disclose any information without my client’s approval as long as it remains non-public. (With exception where disclosure is required by law or requested by any governmental or regulatory agency.)

Cookie Policy

Last updated: January 10, 2025

This Cookie Policy explains how Magical Milo ("Company," "we," "us," and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our Website at http://www.magicalmilo.com ("Website"). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them. Sometimes, we may use cookies to collect personal information, or that becomes personal information if we combine it with other information.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Website owners widely use cookies to improve the functionality of their websites and provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Magcial Milo) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the Website (e.g., advertising, interactive content, and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the Website in question and when it visits certain other websites.

Why do we use cookies?

We use first- and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons to operate our Website, and we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies enable us to track and target users' interests to enhance their experience on our Online Properties. Third parties use cookies on our Website for advertising, analytics, and other purposes.

How can I control cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie rights by setting your preferences in the Cookie Consent Manager. The Cookie Consent Manager allows you to select which categories of cookies you accept or reject. Essential cookies cannot be rejected as they are strictly necessary to provide you with services.

The Cookie Consent Manager can be found in the notification banner and on our Website. If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use our Website, though your access to some functionality and areas of our Website may be restricted. You may also modify your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies.

The specific types of first- and third-party cookies served through our Website and the purposes they perform are described in the table below (please note that the specific cookies served may vary depending on the specific Online Properties you visit):

  • Essential website cookies: These cookies are strictly necessary to provide you with services available through our Website and to use some of its features, such as access to secure areas.

  • Performance and functionality cookies: These cookies are used to enhance the performance and functionality of our Website but are non-essential to their use. However, certain functionality (like videos) may become unavailable without these cookies.

  • Analytics and customization cookies: These cookies collect information that is used in aggregate form to help us understand how our Website is being used or how effective our marketing campaigns are, or to help us customize our Website for you.

  • Unclassified cookies: These cookies have not yet been categorized. We are working with their providers to classify them.

How can I control cookies on my browser?

As how you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser to browser, you should visit your browser's help menu for more information. The following is information about how to manage cookies on the most popular browsers:

In addition, most advertising networks offer you a way to opt out of targeted advertising. If you would like to find out more information, please visit:

What about other tracking technologies, like web beacons?

Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a website. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enables us to recognize when someone has visited our Website or opened an email including them. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within a website to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to the Website from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of email marketing campaigns. In many instances, these technologies rely on cookies to function properly, so declining cookies will impair their functioning.

Do you serve targeted advertising?

Third parties may serve cookies on your computer or mobile device to advertise through our Website. These companies may use information about your visits to this and other websites to provide relevant advertisements about goods and services you may be interested in. They may also employ technology used to measure advertisements' effectiveness. They can accomplish this by using cookies or web beacons to collect information about your visits to this and other sites to provide relevant advertisements about goods and services of potential interest to you. The information collected through this process does not enable us or them to identify your name, contact details, or other details that directly identify you unless you choose to provide these.

How often will you update this Cookie Policy?

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please, therefore, revisit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.

The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.

Where can I get further information?

If you have any questions about our use of cookies or other technologies, please email us at contact@magicalmilo.com

Do cookies affect your privacy?
I deeply care about my clients' and visitors' privacy, so I always comply with the latest requirements of the relevant laws. Using cookies does not necessarily mean you must disclose your personal data to me. If you share your personal data with me via the Website, your personal data may be linked to the information stored in cookies. It goes without saying that I protect your personal data by using the best technology and disclosing it to third parties only within the strictly necessary limits. In some exceptional instances, I might be bound to disclose your personal data by law.

And to live up to the title of this page, here is my favorite cookie recipe:

Chocolate Experience Cookie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup / 230gr salted butter (softened)

  • 1 cup / 200gr white (granulated) sugar

  • 1 cup / 220gr light brown sugar

  • 3 cups / 360gr all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract (not a must)

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp sea salt or ½ tsp table salt

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups / 350gr chocolate chips (or chunks or chopped chocolate – it all works well as long as you have 2 cups!)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F / 200 C. Line a baking pan with baking paper and set aside.

  2. In a bowl, mix your powdery ingredients: flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder. Set aside.

  3. Cream together butter and sugars until combined.

  4. Beat in eggs (and vanilla) into buttercream until fluffy, then mix in the dry ingredients until combined.

  5. Add chocolate chips and mix well.

  6. Roll 2-3 tablespoons of dough at a time into balls and place them evenly spaced on your prepared baking pan.

  7. Bake in preheated oven for approximately 8-10 minutes. Take them out when they are just starting to turn brown.

Let them sit on the baking pan outside the oven for 3-5 minutes before removing them.

Quick Win: you can perfectly freeze this dough and keep it for any impromptu guests (or impromptu cravings!). Simply roll your dough balls and put them in the freezer. Be sure to thaw them for at least one hour (ideally two) before baking them. So easy!
